This is to oertify that we hare examined the account of the Treasurer of the Boone & Crockett Cluh attached hereto, and find the same correct; that all the expenditures are proper, and the balance is as stated.

AMENDMENTS TO THE CONSTITUTION
OF THE
BOONE AND CROCKETT CLUB
Recommended by the Executive Committee December 6, 1910
Amend Article III of the Constitution to read as follows:
“ No one shall be eligible for Regular Membership who shall not have killed with the rifle, in fair chase, by still-hunting or otherwise, at least one adult male individual of each of three of the various species of American large game, or shall not have distinguished himself by travel, exploration or scientific work in natural history/’
Amend Article V of the Constitution to read as follows:
“The term “fair chase” shall not be held to include killing bear or
cougar in traps, or “crusting” moose, elk, or deer in deep snow, or “calling,”
“jacking,” or killing them from a boat while swimming, or any method other than fair stalking or still-hunting.”
Amend Article X of the Constitution by adding the words “or young” after the word “female” in the third line; and striking out the words
“except the musk-ox or white goat,” in the fourth line, so that same will
read as follows :
“ The use of steel traps; the making of “ large bags;” the killing of game while swimming in water, or helpless in deep snow; and the killing of the females or young of any species of ruminant, shall be deemed offenses. Any member who shall commit such offenses may be suspended, or expelled from the Club by unanimous vote of the Executive Committee.”

A dinner of the Boone and Crockett Club was held at the Metropolitan Club, Washington, D. c., on Saturday, April 23rd, 1910, at which the following members were present: —

Report of Secretary:-
The Secretary reported that on Jan. 1st, 1910, there were no vacancies in the Regular Membership, but during the year Mr. J. Cheston Morris, Jr., of Pennsylvania, had tendered his resignation as a Regular Member; and Dr. Arthur Erwin Brown had died in November, causing two vacancies, which were filled by the following gentlemen, who' were duly elected after a proper canvass of the votes of the Club.

Report of Secretary, continued:-
also that the Executive Committee have decided to make no more transfers.
On Fen. 10th the monthly smoker of the Club had been held at the former headquarters. Mr. A. Radclyffe Dug- more was the guest of the Club on that occasion, and exhibited his series of African pictures. Over 150 members and guests, including many ladies, were present.
On March 3rd, the monthly smoker had been held, at which Dr. Jason Mixter, Dr. George Mixter and Mr. Charles A. Cross, gave interesting illustrated address on
Alaskan game. There talk was cordially appreciated, and about 75 were present.
On Apr. 23rd, the Spring dinner of the Club had been held at the Metropolitan Club, Washington, D. C., at which 20 members were present and 4 guests.
On June 1st, the former headquarters of the Club at 29 West 39th St., had been given up, and the House Committee, consisting of Messrs. Davison, Chairman, Lawrence and Lambert, was negotiating for a Club Room in the Chemical Club building.
Upon motion, duly seconded, it was,
RESOLVED, that the report of the Secretary be, and the same hereby is, in all respects accepted and approved and ordered on file.

Report of Treasurer:-
The report of the Treasurer, with the report of the Auditing Committee attached-approving'of the same* was received, approved, and ordered on file.
House Committee report:-
Mr. Charles S. Davison presented the report of the House Committee, and stated that negotiations were in progress with the Chemical Club to arrange for headquarters, and that probably during the spring the Club would be in fixed headquarters.
The report was accepted with thanks, and ordered on file, and the whole matter of Headquarters was referred with power to the Executive Committee.
Game Preservation Committee report:-
Mr. J. Walter Wood presented the report of the Game Preservation Committee, and stated that it had been mailed to each member of the Club before the dinner. He stated briefly the contents of same, and upon motion of Mr. Winthrop Chanler, duly seconded by Mr. Charles S. Davison, it was,
RESOLVED, that the report of the Committee on Game Preservation be accepted, with thanks, and ordered placed on file, and it was,
FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Executive Committee > be authorized to appoint a Committee on Game Preservation in
such manner, of such number, and with such powers, as the Executive Committee may deem wise.

Amendments:-
The matter of the amendments to the Constitution were thereupon taken up. After a prolonged debate the following words were stricken out of the proposed amendments to Article III of the Constitution, »or shall not have distinguished himself by travel, exploration or scientific work
in natural history”, so that Article III reads as follows:-

”No one shall be eligible for Regular Membership who shall not have killed with the rifle, in fair chase, by still-hunting or otherwise, at least one adult male individual of each of three of the various species of American large game.”
The proposed amendment to Article V of the Constitution was carried, and said Arficle V now reads as follows:-
”The term »fair chase” shall not be held to include killing bear or cougar in traps, or ”crusting” moose, elk, or deer in deep snow, or "calling”,, "jacking”, or killing them from a boat while swimming, or any method other than fair stalking or. still-hunting.«
The proposed amendment, to Article X of the Constitution was amended by adding the word "unnecessary” before the word "killing” in the second line, and as amended was carried. Said Article X now reads as follows:-
"The use of steel traps; the making of "large bags”, the killing of game while swimming in water, or helpless in deep snow; and the unnecessary killing of the females or young of any species of ruminant, shall be deemed offenses. Any member who shall commit such offenses may be suspended, or expelled from the Club by unanimous vote of the Executive Committee.”
A copy of the proposed amendments to the Constitution is attached to the minutes of this meeting at the end thereof.

Club Book:-
Mr. Theodore Roosevelt suggested that the story of Col. Jones' experiences in Africa be published in the next Club book.

Dinner:-
The meeting then adjourned to dinner. The Dinner Committee consisted of Messrs. William E. Whitehouse, Chairman, col. George S. Anderson and Dr. Alexander Lambert.

Col. Theodore Roosevelt addressed the Club on the subject of his recent African trip, and showed a series of pictures.
Col. c. J. Jones showed moving pictures of the capture of wild animals in Africa.
During the dinner Mr. J. Walter Wood stated that Maj. L. M. Brett, Acting Superintendent of the Yellowstone Park, had submitted an extremely interesting letter showing the mode of capture and transfer of antelope from the Yellowstone Park to the wicnita Reserve, and stated that a copy of such letter had been placed at the plate of each person.
Upon motion, duly seconded, it was,
RESOLVED, that the Boone and Crockett Club extends its warm thanks to Major L. M. Brett for his able and hearty cooperation with the Club in connection with the transfer of antelope from the Yellowstone Park,
